Anyways, ramble ramble. I am new to Esperanto but thoroughly enjoy it (and has actually been more useful to me than Spanish haha) I enjoy your blog and find it good practice to read, so keep it up!

It’s basically the same as if, when discovering that you like to play the piano, I was to start going off on how guitar is so much better, and why don’t you learn to play the guitar instead because more people play the guitar than play the piano, guitars are more portable than pianos, and blah blah blah…

It isn’t a contest. I’m glad you like English. I like English too - it’s my native language. But what’s wrong with people having fun with Esperanto? What’s it to you?

Has it crossed your mind that some people like me simply love English, and that’s why they study it?
Therefore, not only I study English because it’s so wide-spread and in fact the sole dominant international language on Earth, but also because I find it the most affable language, particularly in its American variety.
I hope English displaces all other languages in the future.
As for Esperanto… Well, it’s neither useful nor likable. Who would ever want to study it?! Come on, you don’t have a slightest chance to survive in a couple of decades from now.
